Ⅰ. Scenario introduction

Near the Valentine’s Day, and in order to create more strong festival atmosphere , we can make various small work to celebrate this festival. Among them, roses have all kinds of meanings which depends on its colors. Usually, the most deep meaning of rose is love, and in Chinese Valentine’s Day, we can by making roses to celebrate it. Today, the little laser expert will lead you to learn how to make roses that symbolize love. In this issue,the laser expert brings you the work “DIY Rose”!

The production of roses needs to be designed first, then cut and processed, and then colored before getting the finished product.

Ⅳ. Laser modeling

1. Style Design

（1） Enter the key word “rose stick figure” in [Baidu image], choose your favourite picture to save, click [file] in the upper [functional area],and then click [open], double-click to open the saved Pikachu picture,as shown below:：

（2） Click the picture with the left mouse button, click to extract the outline, and get the rough line diagram of the rose, as shown below:

（3） Select “Love” from the “Basic Graphics” gallery in the upper left corner and drag it to the canvas; Adjust its size to “height 30, width 35”; Then rotate it “-90°” and move it to the appropriate position, as shown below:

（4）Left mouse button to select “Outer outline of love and outer outline of rose”, from the left of the “drawing toolbar” click the “union” tool; Click “Heart” with the mouse, click the “Offset curve” tool from the “drawing toolbar” on the left, and set it as “4mm, offset inward”; Click the [Font] tool from the left [Drawing toolbar], input the word “Love”, rotate and adjust the position into the “Love”, as shown below:：

（5） Select all the patterns, ctrl+c to copy the pattern, ctrl+v to paste the pattern, get two identical patterns, delete the text part of the right pattern, as shown in the following picture:

Tips: Two roses stick together to make the finished product more layered. The first layer of roses is hollow design, and the second layer of roses is the bottom design of the style.

2. Process Setting

（1）Select “All lines except the outline on the left” and click the layer panel on the lower left to change the layer to red; Select “Font Section on the left” and left click on the layer panel to change the layer to yellow. Select the “outer outline of the right pattern and the left pattern” and left click on the layer panel to change the layer to black, as shown below:

（2） Double-click the red layer with the left mouse button, and set the material, thickness, and process to Tilia wood broad, 3mm, and cutting respectively; Double-click the yellow layer with the left mouse button, and set the material, thickness, and process as Tilia wood broad, 3mm, and shallow carving respectively; double-click the black layer with the left mouse button, and set the material, thickness, and process to the Tilia wood broad, 3mm, and cut respectively, as shown in the following picture:

3. Coloring Finish

First, use glue to stick two roses together, the plain rose on the top, the font rose on the bottom.Then use the brush and paint to color the roses.

In the process of making this example, we thought about how to make the rose more three-dimensional? In this regard, the small laser master made a double layer of roses to bond it, so that it has more three-dimensional and hierarchical sense, better than the ordinary graphic design!
