1. Have you ever played a number game with your friends?
2. What number games have you ever played?
(2)Do it by hand
1. Prepare before class
Work out with a partner what numbers are needed to make a number maze?
Make a rough design of the size and size of the stamp on the paper (Requirement: digital stamps need to add a border)
2.Design seals
(1)Open lasermaker
(2) Click the “Draw Rectangle” or “Draw Ellipse” drawing tool in the left menu bar of the software, and draw according to the shape and size designed on the paper in the blank interface of the software. (The size shown here is a square with a diameter of 25mm.)
(3) Copy and paste the first figure and modify its size (the size size is smaller than the first one, the size of the 23mm square shown)
3.Input the text
(1) Click “Input text” on the left menu bar of the software and double-click on the blank interface of the software to bring up the dialog box, input the text, and adjust its line height and font.
(2) Select the second figure and text, and click “Layer” in the menu bar above the software to modify the layer color. (After the modification of the layer, there are two cases: one is the layer color filling, the other is the layer color not filling, the illustration is the first case, then the layer color filling is the engraving layer, if the second case occurs, it is the cutting layer, which needs to be adjusted in the parameter area.)
(3)Make the three elements in three (as shown in the picture) and click the “Array copy” on the menu bar above the software to copy according to the pre-counted number.
(4)After the array copy is completed, the text of all seals is the same. Double-click the text in the seal to modify it according to the prepared text. (If it is found that the text font is too large or too small in the seal, you can double-click the text again to modify the line height)
(5) After the text modification is completed, click the “Rotation — horizontal flip” above the software for mirror processing.
4.Design the seal handle
(1) Draw a shape that is the same size as the seal (25mm square as shown) and draw a rectangle in the middle of the square;
(2) Copy and paste the rectangle inside the square and modify its height (the height shown is 17mm).
(3) Make an “array copy” of the stamp handle according to the number of stamps. After the design is completed, the design drawing is finally typeset as a whole.
(4)Set the cutting parameters and engraving parameters (tip: 5mm plywood is used, the cutting parameters should be selected as “5mm” cutting parameters.) After parameter setting, pay attention to check the layer order.
5.Machine demonstration
(1)Import the design file demonstrated above into the laser cutting machine for processing.
(Tip: Remember to adjust the focal length before processing to avoid impenetrable cutting.)
6.Splicing assembly
(1) Take the cut stamp to the workbench, and use white latex to glue the stamp and handle together.
7.Invite your partner to play the number maze!
(1) In groups, play the number maze with your own group members to see which group’s number maze is bigger and more complicated! (Tip: Printing mud can choose general printing mud, you can also use watercolor, gouache and other pigments instead, use gouache pigment in the illustration)
(3)Think after class
1. What other number games are there besides the number maze?
2. What problems do we encounter when we play the number maze? Is there any way to solve it? How can you fix it?

(3)Teachingkeypointsanddifficulties
* Improve students’ hands-on, observation and thinking ability;
* Consolidate the operation of LaserMaker laser editing software;
* Consolidate practice laser cutting machine operation;
(4) Preparation for Teaching
* Please prepare relevant consumables, accessories and tools according to the attached table and the actual number of students.
* Ensure that students have the latest version of LaserMaker laser editing software installed on their computers.
* Please prepare the relevant presentation props in advance according to the PPT.
(5)Teaching process
1. Teaching introduction
Guide students to the class topic by asking questions:
1. What is Arabic number? What is it used for?
The Arabic numerals are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9… … ; Function: Count.
2.Have you ever played a number game with your friends? What kind of number games are there?
Sudoku, Jiugong, count 24, matchstick, etc.
Watch the video: After watching the video did not find that the original number can be so fun, then let’s enter this class, make a number maze for yourself, and then play the number maze game with your friends!
2.Preparation before class
* Before the design of the stamp, divide students into small groups and ask them to discuss the numbers needed to make the stamp and write them down on paper;
* Guide students and their friends to discuss using a pen to draw the shape and size of the stamp on paper.
(Requirement: stamp needs to add a border)
3.Teaching demonstration
Design seal drawing
(1) Open LaserMaker.
(2) Click on the “Draw Rectangle” or “Draw Ellipse” drawing tool in the left menu bar of the software and draw on the blank interface of the software according to the shape and size previously designed on the paper. (The size shown here is a square with a diameter of 25mm.)
(3) Copy and paste the first figure and modify its size (the size size is smaller than the first one, the size of the 23mm square shown)
Input the text
(1) Click “Input text” in the left menu bar of the software and double-click on the blank interface of the software to bring up the dialog box, enter the text, and adjust its line height and font.
(2) Select the second figure and text, and click “Layer” in the menu bar above the software to modify the layer color.
(After the layer modification is completed, there are two cases: one is the layer color filling, the other is the layer color is not filled, the illustration is the first case, then the layer color filling. For the sculpting layer, if the second case occurs, it is the cutting layer, which needs to be set in the parameters area.)
(3)Make three elements in three (as shown in the picture) and click “Array Copy” on the menu bar above the software to copy according to the pre-counted number.
Design the seal handle
(1) Draw a shape that is the same size as the seal (25mm square shown) and draw a rectangle right in the middle of the square; Copy and paste the rectangle inside the square and modify its height (the height shown is 17mm).
(2) Make an “array copy” of the stamp handle according to the number of stamps. After the design is completed, the design drawing is finally typeset as a whole.
(3) Set cutting parameters and engraving parameters (Note: 5mm plywood board is used, the parameters should be selected “5mm” cutting parameters.) Pay attention to check the layer order after parameter setting.
4.Machine demonstration
Import the design file demonstrated above into the laser cutting machine for processing.
(Tip: Remember to adjust the focal length before processing to avoid impenetrable cutting.)
5.Splicing assembly
(1) Take the cut stamp to the workbench, and use white latex to glue the stamp and handle together.
6.Play the number maze
Have the students compete against each other to see which group’s number maze is more complicated.
(Tip: General printing mud can be selected, or watercolor, gouache and other pigments can be used instead. Gouache pigments can be used for illustration)
7.Student operation
(1)Preparation before class: Divide the students into several groups and guide the students to think about which numbers are needed to make a digital seal. Write them down on paper and draw the first draft of the design for the seal on the paper.
(2)Software design: Guide the students to complete the design according to the requirements on the design draft, and assist the students to transfer the design file to the laser cutting matching computer named after the name and student number.
(3)Machine processing: Guide students to complete the steps of machine processing according to the order of software completion.
(4)Splicing and Assembly:Students complete the assembly of the work by themselves, and use the stamp to compete in the digital maze.
(6) Feedback with the class
1. What problems will we encounter when we play the number maze? Is there any way to solve it? How can you fix it?
2. What other number games are there besides a number maze?
Sudoku, Jiugong Grid, count 24 points, matchsticks, etc.
